QUITO, Republic of Ecuador, March 2, 2026 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, arrived in Quito at the invitation of Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa. This visit reflects the mutual commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations and advance their strategic partnership in line with mutual interests. Upon his arrival at Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Tababela, east of Quito, H.H. was welcomed by María Gabriela Sommerfeld Rosero, Ecuador's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility. An official welcoming ceremony was held during which H.H. reviewed the honor guard. During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Crown Prince's Court; Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority; Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Head of the Abu Dhabi Media Office and Strategic Relations Advisor to the Crown Prince's Court; Ghanem Sultan Ahmed Alsuwaidi, Security Affairs Advisor to the Crown Prince's Court; Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi, UAE's Contracted Ambassador to the Republic of Ecuador; and Omar Al Zaabi, President of EDGE Trade at EDGE Group.
