The UAE's monthly fuel price announcement on October 31 brought lower rates across all categories, the first decline since July after three straight months of increases.
From November 1, Super 98 costs Dh4.16 per litre (Dh4.40 in October), Special 95 costs Dh4.04 (Dh4.28), E-Plus 91 costs Dh3.97 (Dh4.21) and diesel costs Dh4.75 (Dh4.80).
The cut saves motorists roughly Dh12 to Dh18 on a full tank of petrol compared with October, depending on vehicle size and fuel type. A full tank of Super 98 now costs about Dh212 for a compact car, Dh258 for a sedan and Dh308 for an SUV.
Prices had been expected to rise again this month, with global crude prices elevated by tensions in the region. The UAE has set retail fuel prices each month in line with global oil prices since it deregulated them in 2015.
