The President of BAE sent a letter to the President of China through a special envoy.
BEIJING, March 19, 2026 (WAM) -- His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, sent a letter to His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, regarding bilateral relations and ways to enhance these relations within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The letter was delivered by H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Special Envoy of the President to China and Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, during his visit to Beijing. During the visit, H.E. Al Mubarak met with His Excellency Ding Xuexiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Vice Premier of the State Council, and Co-Chairman of the UAE-China High-Level Joint Investment Cooperation Committee, as well as with His Excellency Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. In the meetings, both sides reviewed the ties of friendship and the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and China, discussing particularly ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, energy, education, and culture. The two sides also addressed regional developments in light of the ongoing military escalation in the region and its impact on security and stability, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation in resolving regional issues and the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
