The President of BAE received the Turkish Foreign Minister.
ABU DHABI, March 20, 2026 (WAM) – His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), received His Excellency Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, today. The President and the Turkish Foreign Minister exchanged best wishes for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, expressing hopes for continuous prosperity and peace for both countries and their peoples, as well as for peace and stability in the world. During the meeting, the Turkish Foreign Minister conveyed greetings from His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, and expressed good wishes for the ongoing prosperity of the UAE. The President requested that the Turkish President be conveyed his greetings and wishes for further progress and prosperity for Turkey. Minister Hakan Fidan reiterated Turkey's condemnation of Iranian terrorist attacks against the UAE and other countries in the region, stating that these attacks violate state sovereignty and international law, posing a threat to regional stability. The ongoing military escalation in the region and its serious implications for regional and international security and stability were also discussed. Both sides emphasized the need to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to halt the escalation and prevent further tensions and crises. The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development and Martyrs' Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE; and several senior officials.
