ABU DHABI, March 19, 2026 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Defense announced that the UAE's air defense systems are currently responding to missile attacks and drones launched from Iran. The Ministry confirmed that the sounds heard in various regions across the country are the result of interventions carried out by air defense systems against ballistic missiles and by fighter jets against drones and cruise missiles.
