US consulate in Dubai struck by drone attack as Iran continues attacks across the middle east #usa #war #iran #breakingnews A drone attack has caused a fire near the US consulate in Dubai, a day after the US embassy in Riyadh was hit by an Iranian strike. “The last update I had, with seconds before getting before these cameras, was that a drone unfortunately struck a parking lot adjacent to the Chancery building, and then set off a fire in that place,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters this morning. It comes as Iran elects its new Supreme Leader, who will replace the slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Earlier, it emerged the Israeli Air Force “flattened” the building where Tehran’s senior clerics had gathered to select the new leader. The Assembly of Experts, a body made up of 88 members, were allegedly together in the city of Qom when an air strike hit the building, just as they were counting the votes to appoint Khamenei’s successor.
