The UAE's next public holiday is Eid Al Etihad, the country's National Day, and the break is expected to fall on 2 and 3 December this year.

The most recent public holiday was in August, marking the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Because the National Day dates land in the middle of the week, the holiday could be moved to Thursday and Friday, which would give residents a four-day long weekend.

The official announcement is still awaited, so residents will have to wait until December for confirmation.
