Drivers in the UAE should get ready to adjust their habits: a significant change is coming to a busy stretch of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road (E311), where the speed limit is being reduced.
From 14 September, the speed limit officially drops from 120 km/h to 100 km/h. The adjustment applies specifically to the section between the approaches around Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street.
The change is intended to enhance road safety and ensure that everyone reaches their destination without incident. Motorists are advised to watch for the updated speed signs along the route.
Authorities also reminded drivers to comply with the new limit in order to avoid penalties, which can range from AED 300 to AED 3,000.
