After eight years of bending reality and drawing in crowds, the Museum of Illusions at Al Seef has permanently closed its doors.

Since opening in 2018, the interactive attraction had become a fixture on the Dubai leisure map and one of the city's most photographed indoor venues, popular with residents and visitors alike.

Its rooms of optical tricks, vortex tunnels and gravity-defying installations made it a regular stop for families and a familiar backdrop on social media.

News of the permanent closure of the Al Seef branch has prompted a wave of nostalgia across the UAE, with visitors sharing memories of the venue online.
