MANAMA, March 29, 2026 (WAM) -- The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Forces announced that since the onset of Iranian terrorist attacks, 174 missiles and 391 drones targeting the Kingdom have been intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems. In a statement published by the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), it emphasized the need for the public to maintain the highest levels of vigilance to ensure safety, to avoid damaged areas and suspicious objects, to refrain from photographing military operations or crash sites, and to steer clear of spreading rumors. It also noted the importance of relying on official sources and following official media outlets for updates, alerts, and warnings. The statement highlighted that the targeting of civilian infrastructure and private property by ballistic missiles and drones constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, asserting that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
